We are happy to announce that our trainees truly shined at the AALAS and APV national conferences this year! Diane Peters, a second year fellow, received the Committee for Laboratory Animal Training and Research (CLATR) Trainee Research Award for her presentation on FOLH1/GCPII Inhibitors as Novel Therapeutics in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Meghan Vermillion, a fourth year fellow, was awarded an AALAS Poster Award for her work on Pregnancy-Associated Alterations in Pulmonary Function in the Mouse: Implications for Influenza Pathogenesis and Disease. Alicia Braxton, a second year fellow, was recipient of an APV travel award so that she could present her work on Refining Medication Administration with a Novel Dispensing Device. We are so proud of their accomplishments!
